Franklin’s fireworks are always a treat! Easy to see from many place, and I have to say the police did an excellent job directing traffic out of the high school. We made it home in a reasonable amount of time for that many people.
We went to Fino Field to see the display, and you may or may not know, but it looks like the field is getting a make-over. So there were mounds of giant ant hill piles of dirt all over the field. It was a bit strange.. but the kids LOVED it! I walked the whole field before the official fireworks began, and it started feeling like a war zone (with kids screaming, running around and UN-official fireworks going off all around us.) Getting out of Milford was the easiest, due to a killer parking spot, but many people walked the bike path, which I thought was a great idea.
Great Great display! Horrible location and driving out of there. Really, the fireworks were AWESOME! A band was playing starting at 7:00, with other festive entertainment, and there was plenty of room for people to see the display, IF you where near the high school. Last year we watched from a parking lot across the street, while still good, was kinda lack luster. This year, Great seats! Had to look straight up to see the display! We could also see where the fireworks were being launched, which is fascinating itself. One big downside. It took 45mins for us to get out of the High School parking lot. Meaning, we turned off the car, waited 45mins, then get into a line that slowly started to move. Almost an hour and a half to get home. Bleck. Overall. WORTH IT!
