As everyone probably already knows, a 10 year old Dutch boy was the only survivor of a plane crash at an airport in Tripoli on Wednesday. The plane crashed on its decent to land, and rescuers were shocked to find anyone one alive in the wreck.

Today, I was in the bookstore looking at some photography magazines and came across a photo taken by Jennifer Emerling. The photo, taken well before the crash happened, caught my eye and I stood staring at the photo for several minutes. This photo says so much about an event that happened after it was taken, and yet it captured the emotions of the event.

Our thoughts go out to the families and the victims of the crash, as well as the young boy who survived.
